Four-star offensive tackle Jake Wray has given his verbal commitment to the Colorado Buffaloes.
On Wednesday night, the 6-foot-5, 290-pounder from Marietta (Ga.) High School announced his pledge to the Buffaloes for the class of 2020.
“Thank you to everyone who has helped me throughout this process,” he wrote on Twitter. “Specifically my teammates, my coaches and my family. I am committed to The University of Colorado.”
Wray has a four-star rating by Rivals.com and a three-star rating from 247Sports.com.
According to Rivals.com, Wray has 33 scholarship offers, including offers from Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Michigan, Ohio State, Notre Dame and Virginia Tech. He has offers from at least 25 Power 5 conference schools.
Wray visited CU in early April and has also taken visits to Auburn and Oregon. Wray was originally committed to Ohio State and coach Urban Meyer, but decommitted in December after Meyer retired. Wray’s brother, Max, is a lineman for the Buckeyes.
Wray becomes the fourth player to commit to CU for the 2020 class, joining Cherry Creek offensive lineman Carson Lee, Melissa (Tex.) quarterback Brendon Lewis and Madison-Ridgeland (Miss.) Academy safety Joe Perkins.
