RALEIGH – Valeo Groupe Americas, an affiliate of Valeo Groupe,  and Raleigh-based K4Connect, have partnered to bring advanced smart technology for senior living communities to Valeo properties.

Kevin Suite, founding partner, president and COO of Valeo Senior said in a statement, “Since launching Valeo Senior, we have been looking for partners who share that same focus, especially those who are dedicated to enhancing the lives of older adults.”

Rolling out this year, K4Community will be incorporated into Valeo Senior’s new Vineyard communities in Henderson, Nevada, and Bluffton, South Carolina.

By using their smartphone, tablet or simply their voice – via K4Community’s recently-announced integration with Amazon Alexa technology – residents can manage all aspects of life within the community, including:

  • Smart Home: Automatic lights, temperature control and more can be activated through voice, motion, and responsive sensors.
  • Smart Wellness programs: Via a strategic partnership with Garmin residents will have access to activity trackers, allowing them to monitor their wellness progress.
  • Smart Living: Leveraging K4Connect’s State-of-the-art communication platform will allow residents to easily stay in touch with friends and family inside and out of their community.
  • On-demand services: Exclusive partnerships allow for next generation concierge services that are delivered directly through the K4Community app.

F. Scott Moody, co-founder and CEO of K4Connect said the company’s customer base includes over 13,000 residents across dozens of senior living communities from Florida to California.

“We’re excited to begin this new journey with Valeo Senior to enhance the lives of older adults across the nation through advanced smart technologies,” Moody said in a statement.

“Valeo understands that older adults want to have the ability to better manage their lives – whether it is their social interactions, health or homes – as well as enjoy the latest in technology. With K4Community, Valeo’s residents will be able to benefit from technology designed and developed specifically for them.”

In addition to the many resident benefits, staff at Valeo Senior communities will be able to take advantage of K4Community’s enterprise-level controls, data and support. This will help enable streamlined processes through automated morning check-ins, energy and utility management, next generation content creation/publishing and the industry’s first wireless digital signage capabilities.

These Smart Community capabilities will empower Valeo teams to provide the best in hospitality and care, while streamlining workflows and driving measurable cost savings.
