Inc. Regionals recognizes 30 NJ companies as Northeast ‘growth champions’

Inc.’s 2025 list of privately held firms in the Northeast includes 30 companies in New Jersey.

Now in its fifth year, the ranking aims to spotlight independent small businesses that have created thousands of jobs and brought in millions in revenue. It also paves the way for ‘s well-known ranking of the nation’s top 5,000 fastest-growing ventures.

To determine regional , the business publication’s editors evaluated percentage revenue growth from 2021 to 2023. To qualify, entrants must be: U.S. based; founded by March 31, 2021; and a privately held, for-profit, independent entity with a minimum revenue of $100,000 for 2021 and $1 million for 2023.

This year’s Regionals list recognized 951 companies across seven areas (Southwest, Pacific, Rocky Mountain, Midwest, Northeast, Mid-Atlantic and Southeast). Altogether, the companies that made the cut reported $57 billion in revenue and 154% median growth over the two-year period, according to Inc.

Bonny Ghosh, editorial director at Inc., described the latest slate of honorees as “true trailblazers driving economic growth in their respective regions, industries, and beyond.”

She went on, “This list celebrates their achievements and tells the stories of remarkable companies that are fueling growth and adding jobs in local economies throughout the country.”

Within the Northeast, the 154 ventures had a median growth rate of 101%, generated $6.7 billion for the region’s economy and added 9,114 jobs. The region is defined as Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine, Connecticut and Rhode Island.

According to Inc., the 30 New Jersey-based firms on the ranking recorded two-year median growth of 94%. Of the list makers, 15 are repeat honorees.

RelPro, a Short Hills firm that creates intelligence solutions for business development and relationship management in the financial and professional sectors, said it was thrilled to make the list for a fourth consecutive year. The company came in at No. 84 and reported 90% growth.

After experiencing 67% growth, Lightbridge Academy landed at No. 107 on the list.
