Fusion Tech donates $32,025 to local food pantries
ROSEVILLE — Fusion Tech Integrated, Inc. ["Fusion Tech"], a leading manufacturer of custom engineered food processing equipment and systems located in Roseville, Illinois, announced that they have made multiple donations to area food pantries totaling $32,025 from the sale of their COVID-19 Guards.
At the start of the COVID-19 outbreak, Fusion Tech made the decision to donate $5 from the sale of every poly carbonate guard to food pantries in the area.
To date, Fusion Tech has made donations: $13,775 in April and $18,225 in August for a total of $32,025.
“We feel incredibly fortunate that we are able to help in this way and feel the need to step those efforts up during this time,” said Kathy Bentz, owner. “Helping to ensure our community has enough to eat only makes sense, as we regularly work with food processing companies.”
The donations were split between five (5) different food pantries:
• Jamieson Community Center in Monmouth, Illinois
• Helping Hands of Roseville in Roseville, Illinois
• Genesis Garden in Macomb, Illinois
• Western Illinois Regional Council in Macomb, Illinois
• Community Action of Southeast Iowa in Burlington, Iowa
“A HUGE thank you for your donation,” said Nancy Mowen, Executive Director of Jamieson Community Center. “Your continued contributions are a big part of the reason we have been able to expand our services during this time.”
Heather McIlvaine-Newsad, a volunteer at Genesis Gardens, was also excited about the donation and the impact it will make. “Thank you so very much for your donation! It is going to help families who are experiencing loss of income continue to eat while staying home and healthy.”

The popularity of our COVID-19 Guards is growing. “Meat+Poultry Magazine (a nationwide food processing magazine) recently wrote an article highlighting the story behind creating these guards and the donations we are making to local food pantries. It just goes to show, when you put your customers and your community first, people take notice,” said Jason Vana, Marketing Director.
Future donations will be made as more COVID-19 Guards are sold.
