Last week, Sky offered customers a host of free benefits to help them through the coronavirus outbreak including Sky Go Extra, 10GB of additional mobile data and no charges on calls to UK landlines.

The media giant also recently announced that customers are able to ‘ pause’ their Sky Sports subscription until live sporting coverage resumes.

And now Virgin Mobile customers on pay monthly plans have been given a boost too - starting from today.

The phone network is giving all eligible users an additional 10GB of data plus unlimited minutes to landlines and mobiles at no extra cost.

The additional benefits roll out on Monday, March 23 and you can browse all the latest pay monthly, SIM-only and mobile phone offers currently available on the Virgin Media website here.

Bargain-hunters on the HotUKdeals website posted the Virgin Media announcement about the temporary benefits on Friday.

The message from Virgin Media read: "Staying connected to the people and things you love matters most right now. So we're giving over a million Pay Monthly customers unlimited minutes to landlines and other mobile numbers, plus a 10GB data boost, at no extra cost, for a month."

Virgin Media also announced that all customers will be able to watch new cinema releases at home after they struck a deal with NBCUniversal, which both Sky and Talk Talk TV are offering their subscribers too.
