Lowe’s Considering Dallas For Tech Hub, Two Thousand Jobs

DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News) — Lowe’s Home Improvement is looking to build a technology hub that would create around 2,000 jobs, and Dallas is one of its two finalists.

The company’s CIO, Seemantini Godbole, told the Charlotte Observer the decision is between Dallas and Charlotte, North Carolina, which is roughly where the company is headquartered.

The jobs that would be at the new hub include data analysts, software engineers, and infrastructure engineers, to name a few. Godbole said both cities are in contention because of their growth and the available tech talent. Hiring for most of the 2,000 or so jobs will begin when a location is selected.

A decision is expected by the end of summer.
