Person of interest in New Hampshire homicide arrested in Virginia

SUSSEX COUNTY, Va. – A person of interest in a New Hampshire homicide was arrested Monday night on I-95 South in Sussex County.

Virginia State Police said at approximately 8:14 p.m., they spotted a vehicle matching the description issued in a ‘Be On Lookout’ from New Hampshire.The  suspect driving the car was wanted for a probation violation, driving a stolen vehicle, and a person of interest in a homicide.

A trooper spotted the vehicle at the 41-mile marker on I-95 south, in Prince George. The trooper followed the vehicle and when additional units arrived, stopped the vehicle at southbound I-95 at the 16 mile marker in Greensville County.

The subject, Phillip Nash, 21, was was arrested without incident, according to State Police.

The trooper transported Nash to Southside Regional Jail where he is being held without bond awaiting extradition to New Hampshire. Any question in reference to information leading up to the initial BOL will have to be referred to New Hampshire State Police at (603)223-3856.
